We are always happy to supply hogs ready to roast to both private individuals and caterers. We can even roast them for you delivering a HotHog to your venue ready to carve, and we can of course carve and serve for you if required.
But perhaps you fancy roasting a hog yourself - there's nothing more rewarding than spit roasting your own hog over an open fire pit, watching the crackling crisp up, the juices from the meat oozing out and basting the carcass as it's turned, naturally enjoying a few beers as the day progresses, your guests arrive and marvel at the sight, the smell, and then when it's cooked just right you as chef get the perks and sample that very first bit of crackling before carving the tender juicy meat...
When buying a spit roast pig from us you are welcome to loan our spit free of charge* - this makes mounting your pig securely a simple process and you can then place our spit over your own improved fire pit, oil drum barbeque etc resting it on a frame, blocks, a pair of builders tressles. The pictures here show one of our loan spits in use over a oil barrel bbq with a simple frame to support the spit.

The free loan spit comprises a stainless steel spit bar, a back spike, leg braces and a front end spike enabling you to secure your hog, similar to that shown below (omitting the back brace and leg brace)
Whilst building your fire pit is fairly simple - a hole in the
ground, or a few bricks/blocks, or perhaps use a large barbeque or oil
drum, a home made spit is a little more involved. You need something
that will take the weight of the pig, and secure the pig to enable you
to turn it to cook it evenly. Many people make the mistake of using a
scaffold pole which is rather large and near on impossible to insert
through a pig. Our stainless steel spit with skewer spikes makes the
job simple and will take up to an 80kg hog. The spit can be rested on a
simple frame, builders tressles, a pile of blocks, or you can get as
imaginative as you wish. The end of the spit is drilled for a bolt so
can be connected to your turning mechanism, be it manual or electric.
